Trying New Things

Hello All!

So, I decided to start watching Thai dramas since I’ve had some good experiences with Thai movies but, this drama I’m watching is just getting on my nerves. The female protagonist has no backbone and the male protagonist(more like antagonist) is just so evil. I do not see any way of him softening up towards the female protagonist. sigh. But, I’m going to keep on watching it. Maybe things will change, after all, I’m only on episode 6 (out of 15). I’m just so used to the fast-paced, upbeat Korean dramas. I’ve tried Filipino telesyres and despite the bad quality effects, the dramas were really good. I did get mad at Dyesebel (2008) and stopped watching it for a day around episode 31 but, I read spoilers on Google and was able to continue watching the rest (64 episodes total). I love Filipino movies however and Turkish movies. I will only watch a sad movie if it’s Turkish. Usually, I hate sad movies. I also tried watching a Turkish drama but, only the 1st and 2nd episode was subtitled. I was so upset because I was already hooked. What I am trying to say or at least think I’m trying to say is that I want to try a new type of drama different from the usual Novelas, Taiwanese drama or, Kdrama. Hopefully, this drama I’m watching now gets better. In the preview for the next part, it hints at the female protagonist getting a little bit of backbone. The directors better not be tricking me.

Another thing I have started to do is…Lift! But, just not with weights…or at a gym. I have been super creative. I loaded up two recyclable grocery bags with old textbooks, notebooks, and paper-filled binders. I put a bag on each side of a sturdy curtain rod and …WHALA!! Instant affordable home-made weights. They are pretty heavy too and are adjustable in length of the rod and weight (just remove or add on more books). It’s been good so far. I’m seeing muscle popping up in places I didn’t know it could go.  I’m also finally getting thigh muscles. I’m so happy I could cry! No more wiggly jigglies! Yes! I’m also seeing some abs coming in. I wish I had thought of these home-made weights thing earlier. So, now I lift 2x a week and do yoga on my 3rd workout day. I also do cardio 3x a week. That’s all for now.

Thanks for listening to my rant,
