I did my first stadium workout with a friend of mine on Monday and I am so proud of myself. Not only did that knock out two of my goals from my infinite goal list, I actually got a quality workout. Now, I can officially cross out buddy workout and stadiums from my list. My whole body is still sore but, in a good way (I’m writing this on Wednesday but, it won’t be posted until Saturday). I think I might just do it again. I got my cardio in and my leg workout in. It was fun because not only did I have companionship, but the view was spectacular and I could people watch at the same time. People watching is a guilty habit of mine.
Anyways, we got a lot done and time flies by fast when you are having fun. I think we were there for an hour and some change. We side shuffles up the ramps, ran around the stadium, tricep dips, crunches, planks, stairs, walking lunges up the stairs, then squats going up and down the stairs, and that’s just the things I can name or describe. There are so many ways to workout in a stadium. The possibilities are endless. All you need is a little creativity or Google.
The weather was nice too so it made it easier to work out. Being in Gainesville, the weather is always too hot, or its raining, especially in the summer. Overall, it was a good workout that made the rest of my evening pleasant and I had no guilt when I went home to eat the Paleo banana bread that I had baked before I left the apartment. Don’t worry I didn’t binge eat afterward. I didn’t want to ruin my workout progress. I think I may add stadium workouts to my regular routine in fall. I would start now but, I’m going back home before fall semester starts again.
Thanks for listening to my rant,
